A language is lost every 14 days.

Our Saving Endangered Languages Albums
allow the user to take “Language Photos”.

How do I create a language photo?
Example:
1. Take a photo of a flower

2. Tap the photo to start recording an audio file.
(The audio file will be attached to the photo)

3. Say the name of the flower in language.

You now have a language photo .

600 to 1000 Language Photos could save an endangered language.

Rebuilding or reviving an endangered language can begin with as few as 100 to 200 words to initiate the revival process, particularly when working with elders to trigger social memory and recall.

While a foundational, functional vocabulary often requires around 600 to 1,000 words to cover the majority of daily, conversational interactions, revitalization efforts can start with, and often rely on, far smaller, fragmented recordings and documentation.
